بيان توضيحي
أصدر المكتب الإعلامي في جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية في لبنان البيان التالي:

نشرفي احدى الوسائل الإعلامية بتاريخ الخميس 13/12/2007 خبرا تناول ما سمي "اعتقال  أحباش" في مصر، وردا على هذا الموضوع وبيانا للحقيقة فإن جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية يهمها أن توضح النقاط التالية:
أولا : قال الله تعالى :"ولا تقفُ ما ليس لك به علم إن السمع والبصر والفؤاد كل أولئك كان عنه مسؤولا". وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :"كفى بالمرء كذبا أن يحدث بكل ما سمع".
لقد دأب البعض على التعرض بين المدة والمدة لطلاب العلامة المحدث الشيخ عبد الله الهرري المعروف بالحبشي ومحاولة النيل منهم، وهم المعروفون بأنهم قائمون بالتصدي لأفكار التطرف الشاذة والإرهاب البغيض في نواحي المعمورة، وأن جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية هي الإطار الجامع لهم.
ثانيا : لا وجود لتنظيم يسمى "الأحباش" إنما هناك أناس درسوا على العلامة الفقيه المحدث
الشيخ عبد الله الهرري وهم منتشرون في كافة فئات المجتمع وطبقاته في لبنان وخارجه .
ثالثا : قام هؤلاء الطلاب والمريدون ببناء المدارس والمعاهد والجامعات ومراكز الاستشفاء والمؤسسات الإعلامية ومراكز البحوث وغيرها من مؤسسات تنشر العلم والخير والفضيلة وتساهم في الرقي والتقدم وخدمة المجتمع المدني. وكل هذه المؤسسات مؤسسات قانونية مضى عليها زمن ليس بالقصير وهي تمارس أعمالها ولها تاريخ يشهد بالنصاعة والرقي والسداد.رابعا: إن جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية في لبنان هي جمعية كبيرة بما تمثله على الصعيد الشعبي وعلى امتداد أرض الوطن الحبيب لبنان، وكبيرة بما حققته وتعمل على تحقيقه من إنجازات. وهي فئة من المسلمين من أهل السنة والجماعة، في العقيدة على مذهب الإمام أبي الحسن الأشعري والإمام أبي منصور الماتريدي، وفي الفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي، وتعمل بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة وتنتهج نهج الاعتدال والوسطية وهذا أمر معروف عنها يشهد لها به أداؤها في زمن الرخاء وزمن الشدة، وعند السراء والملمات، ويشهد به تاريخها وواقع حالها ومنهاجها الناصع. ومثلها في هذا أخواتها من الجمعيات التي أسسها طلاب العلامة الشيخ عبد الله الهرري في مختلف بقاع الأرض حيث شهر عنهم ذلك وعرف حيث حلوا.
خامسا: إن منهج طلاب العلامة الشيخ عبد الله الهرري سواء كانوا في لبنان أم خارجه مأخوذ من الكتاب والسنة على حسب ما شرحه أئمة المذاهب الكبار وفطاحل علماء الأمة، تشهد بذلك كتب العلامة الشيخ عبد الله الهرري وإصدارات جمعية المشاريع الخيرية الإسلامية التي بادرت إدارة الأزهر الشريف في مصر العزيزة إلى تقريظها والموافقة على ما فيها بأوراق رسمية موثقة.
سادسا: تنتقد بعض الأبواق المعروفة على جمعيتنا ومن سار على نهجها أمورا نحن نقولها ولا نخجل بها لأنها من دين الله تعالى، ويوافقنا عليها كل علماء الأمة وبالخصوص أكابر مشايخ الأزهر القدماء رحمهم الله والموجودون اليوم كما هو موثق في كتبهم ومراجعهم. ومن ذلك زيارة قبور الأنبياء والصالحين للبركة، ومن ادعى أن هذا ضلال فقد ضلل الأمة كلها في زيارتها لقبر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وضلل أهل بيروت خصوصا لزيارتهم الإمام الأوزاعي رضي الله عنه كما هو مشهور بينهم، وضلل أهل مصر لزيارتهم مقامات سيدنا الحسين والسيدة زينب
والسيدة نفيسة والسيد البدوي مما هو أشهر من نار على عَلَم عنهم ومن جملة الأكاذيب أننا نبيح الصلاة بدون وضوء فالطفل المسلم الصغير كما الكبير يعرف أن الوضوء شرط من شروط صحة الصلاة.
سابعا : تنسب إلينا هذه الأبواق ما نحن بريئون منه كالزعم بأننا نُكفّر أئمة من أئمة المسلمين وما شابه من أكاذيب، وهذه صارت عادة لهم مكشوفة لا يخجلون من إعادة ممارستها كل مدة من غير استحياء من الله ولا من العباد. وعلى كل حال فإننا نكرر تأكيدنا أننا نرفض منهج التكفير الشمولي الذي يقول بتكفير المسلمين شرقا وغربا والذي يُكفّر الحكام جملة والحكومات جملة ورجال الشرطة جملة ورجال الجيش جملة وكل فئات المجتمع جملة سواء بدعوى أنهم يزورون القبور أم بدعوى أنهم لا يثورون على الحكام. ونحن بالخصوص قد عانينا في الماضي من آثار هذه الدعوات المؤذية كما عانى غيرنا، وما زلنا نعاني جميعا منها فتنا وقتلا وتفجيرا ودما وهدما لمقومات المجتمع ولاقتصاده في لبنان الحبيب وفي مصر والجزائر وسوريا والمغرب واليمن والسعودية وغيرها من البلاد. وقد كنا بفضل الله من منطلق ديني سباقين للتصدي لهذا المنهج وفضحه، وهذا خط انتهجناه ولن نحيد عنه بإذن الله تعالى متعاونين مع كل الطيبين وأهل الخير، ولن يثنينا عن ذلك من رضي أن يُسخر ضميره أو قلمه أو لسانه لخدمة التطرف، وعلى الله نتوكل والى ما قَدّره نمضي، ويوم القيامة تنكشف المخبآت، والحق في كل حال يعلو ولا يعلى عليه.

The following statement was issued by the Media Bureau of the Islamic Charity Projects Association in Lebanon.

On Thursday 13th December 2007 an article was published on in one of the media outlet tackling the so-called “Ahbash’s Capture " in Egypt.  In response to this article and in order to state the relevant facts, the Islamic Charity Projects Association would like to clarify the following issues:

First, from time to time, some people have become accustomed to slander the students of the Scholar and the Hadith Conveyer Sheikh ^Abdullah Al Harari, also known as Al Habashi, and to defame them.  The students of Sheikh Al Harari are well known for their resistance and opposition to extremist ideologies and terrorist operations around the world.
 
Secondly, no organization called "Al Ahbash" exists, but there are people who have acquired their religious knowledge from the jurisprudent and Hadith Conveyer Sheikh ^Abdullah Al Harari, who are spread in all sections and levels of society in Lebanon and abroad.

Thirdly, the students of Sheikh ^Abdullah have been building schools, colleges and universities, hospitals, media organisations, research centres and other institutions which propagate knowledge, goodness and virtue as well as contribute to the advancement, progress and the serving of civil society.  All of these institutions are legal organisations that have been operating for quite some time and have a history which attests to its pureness, progress and righteousness.

Fourthly, the ICPA in Lebanon is a large organisation representing a significant section of the community along the land of our beloved country Lebanon, and it is a great organisation with a continuing high level of substantial achievements.  It has brought together a group of Sunni Muslims whose belief is in the doctrine of both Imam Abu Al Hasan Al Ash^ariyy and Imam Abu Mansour Al Maturidiyy; and whose jurisprudence is in the doctrine of Imam As-Shafii.  The ICPA operates with wisdom and good guidance and pursues methodologies of moderation with which it has become renowned, both in good times and bad times.  This is also demonstrated by its good state of affairs, its work history and its good values.  Likewise, this also applies to the other branches of the ICPA established by students of the great scholar Sheikh Abdullah Al Harari in various parts of the world, who are reputed for their distinguished work wherever they are.

Fifthly, the methodology of the students of the great scholar Sheikh ^Abdullah Al Harari, whether in or outside Lebanon, is taken from the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, which includes the sayings and the deeds of the Messenger of God , Muhammad , peace and blessings be upon him . This is explained by the Imams of the main Islamic school of thoughts, and the nation's leading scholars, and evident in the books of Sheikh ^Abdullah Al Harari and the Publications of the ICPA whose content was commended and stamped with the seal of approval by the administration of Al-Azhar Institution in Egypt and provided to the ICPA as official documents.

Sixthly, some fault-finders criticize our association and its followers for saying things according to Allah’s religion that we are proud of and that all the scholars of this nation consent to, particularly the senior Sheikhs of Al Azhar institution in Egypt and their predecessors, may Allah’s mercy be upon them, as documented in their books and references.    For instance, we preach about the benefit of visiting the graves of prophets and righteous Muslims seeking blessings from Allah. Those who claim that such an act is a deviation from the right path, have actually misled the whole nation’s visits to the grave of the Prophet of God, peace and blessing be upon him, and have misled the people of Beirut especially for visiting Imam Al Awza^iyy, may Allah be pleased with him, which is a well known practice amongst them.  They have also misled the people of Egypt for visiting the shrines of our master Al-Husayn, Lady Zaynab and  Nafisa, as well as the waliyy Al Badawi, a practice which is also very well known to the  Egyptians.  Among their lies and fabrications about members of the ICPA is their claim that we say it is permissible to pray without ablution, Wudu’.  It is enough to simply say that everyone, young and old, know for a fact that ablution/Wudu’ is a very significant condition for the validity of praying.
 
Finally, these deceptive voices accuse us of claims we are innocent of, such as claiming that we label some Muslim Imams as blasphemers, and other similar lies.  This has become one of their overt habits they no longer are ashamed of continuing to practice every now and then without fearing God or any one else.  In any case, we reiterate our confirmation that we reject the methodology of holistic blasphemy which accuses all Muslims in the east and the west of blasphemy, and which also accuses all judges and rulers, all governments, all policemen, all military personnel, and all sections of the society of blasphemy on the pretext of visiting the graves or by claiming that they did not revolt against their rulers.

We, in particular, have suffered in the past from the harmful effect of these claims as others have, and we continue to suffer from it through the seditions, the killings, the explosions, the bloodshed and the destruction of society’s resources and economy of our beloved country Lebanon, and also in Egypt, Algeria, Syria, Morocco, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and others.  By the grace of Allah, we have been religiously proactive in confronting and exposing this deviant methodology.  It is a policy that we have adopted and by the will of God we will not let go of it, collaborating with the good doers and the good hearted people, and we will not be deterred by those who are happy to use their conscience, their tongue or their pen to serve extremism.  

We rely on God and we proceed as he predestined, and all will be revealed on the Day of Judgment.  In any case, the truth will always prevail and nothing can supersede it.
