Press Release 26/11/2005 E-mail

The Islamic Charity Projects Association ( ICPA) rejects all allegations and accusations made by those who are behind the decree launched against it.

For many years, even before the atrocities of September 11, Bali, Madrid, London and Sharmu-Sheikh, the ICPA has been known to the public, media and governmental departments for its moderate teachings and firm stance against extremism and terrorism.

The recent accusations have been launched to mislead and misguide the public. They are not in the interest of a harmonious Multicultural Australia. We believe it is an attempt to establish the leaders of the Wahabis/Salafis and JI as “moderates”. We fear it hides a dire agenda.

The barrage of defamatory accusations is very offensive, undermining the intelligence of the Muslim community. We hold every participant or co-participant of the allegations legally responsible for the consequences of their actions.

The Islamic Charity Projects Association is a well known, respected, integral and integrated part of our multicultural Australian Society. Its teachings and methodology are in accordance with consensus of SUNNI Scholars.
