Critical analysis of two books authoured by the Muhaddith (authorised relayer of Hadith) Sheikh Abdullah Al-Harariy, known as Al-Habashiy was recently conducted at the Azhar University in Cairo. The books entitled As-Sirat Al-Mustaqim (the Straight Path) and Bughyat Al-Taleb (the Quest of the student of Obligatory knowledge) have been perused by a committee of professors from the faculty of religious jurisprudence at the Azhar University in Cairo and given the official common seal of approval.

Among what the committee said about the books was this:
“The knowledge of belief contained in these two books agree with the knowledge of belief of Imam Abu-Hassan Al-Ash^ariy, the Imam of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah. They do not contradict any of the teachings of Imam Abu-Hassan Al-Ash^ariy. In fact, they explained and simplified it, presenting the information in a style to make it acceptable by the mind and close to the heart, compelling the reader to accept it because it is the belief of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah by which one will be saved on Judgement Day. The author Sheikh Abdullah Al-Harariyy is distinguished by his knowledge and reference of authentic and credible sources in maters of belief and rulings. He is also noted for his sincerity in action and words and his serious and keen approach in spreading the knowledge of Islam. We ask Allah to grant him success in his mission to serve the religion and spread the knowledge".
