Many speeches where delivered on the day as following:

Sheikh Bilal Homaysi (Vice president of ICPA) :

Eid Ul Fitr is a special day for all Muslims around the world , today is also a day during which the Australian Muslims enjoy their Eid Festival, while not forgetting their brothers and sisters who became homeless, Traumatised and stripped of their basic daily needs.

We at the ICPA believe that the correct religious concepts must be spread within the community by various means such as: Televisions, Radio programmes, Mosque services, seminars, lectures and the like. We should exhaust all possible means, so that our society becomes immunised by virtue of the right religious knowledge.

In this beautiful country Australia the ICPA is working very hard to strengthen the tie of brotherhood, the ties of respect and love, to introduce Islam the way it should be introduced.

On this note, I wish each and every one of you a happy and festive Eid and a Joyce time while sharing with your friends and relatives the festivity of the day.

We ask Allah subhanahu wa Ta^ala to enable us to spread the words of righteousness always and Allah knows best.

Dr. Sheikh Salim Alwan Chairman of Darulfatwa Islamic High Council of Australia :

DarulFatwa in Australia Renew the Greetings of Eid Al Fitr, the joy and the pleasure of  Eid al-Fitr, is a joy for all of us, this joy must be a motivation for us to harmony and affection and love, this joy of Eid Al Fitr must be a motivation for us to unity.

DarulFatwa always renews its call to unity, DarulFatwa is always alert and enlighten Muslims to understand the correct concepts of Islam and give opinions supporting the right of the Qur’an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

DarulFatwa in Australia encourages people of the community to attend gatherings of people aware of religion, science and knowledge and not only take the opinions of those who did not get the correct knowledge.

DarulFatwa every year announce the beginning of Ramadaan and the beginning  of Eid as well as the beginning of  the lunar months according to Islamic concepts, we do not announce Eid according to appointments with officials or non officials, declare feast on as approved what came to us by the Prophet  Muhammad the Messenger of Allah, and his companions
.

On this day we should not forget our brothers in religion in other countries still suffering with the difficulties and hardships, dying of extreme poverty and disease such as : in Somalia and the like .

DarulFatwa in Australia renews its call to everyone to unity according to  the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him,  to reject extremism, reject terrorism and obnoxious.

This is what we have learned from Islam, the religion of all prophets, the religion of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and the religion of all Prophets.

Eid Mubarak

Glenn Brookes MP:

It’s my pleasure to share this year the end of Ramadan celebration being hosted by the Islamic Charity Projects Association here in Paul Keating Park.

I am honoured to cover Premier Barry O’Farell personal greetings and best wishes to all members and supporters of the ICPA and to the NSW Muslim community in general.

According to the 2006 census Islam was the faith followed by 169,000 people in NSW. On the other hand, almost half of the Australian Muslim population live in this state.

For over 2 decades the ICPA has contributed to the Muslim community throughout its general work.

Tania Mihailuk, MP :

Ladies and gentlemen : It is a wonderful pleasure to be here this afternoon to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Can I wish all of you a very happy Eid.  Eid Mubarak for all of you and your families.

It is certainly a very significant time in the calendar not only for all our Muslims grown here but the boarder community as well.

Eid the announcement become a quiet tradition of the ICPA hold this Eid Festival here in Paul Keating Park and it is wonderful to see so many families here enjoying this wonderful after noon.

Can I also take this opportunity to pass an apology of John Robertson the Opposition Leader who was unable to attend this afternoon but has asked me personally to extend his blessing and best wishes to all of you.

Ladies and gentlemen: I want to note the great work of ICPA, there is no doubt that ICPA has worked very hard for many many years in building wonderful link between the Islamic community here particularly in Sydney and the wider board community, and I know and I have got to know many of you charity works and community works that the organisation has undertaken for a number of years.

And also I like to take this opportunity to acknowledge some of the wonderful community workers you have including Ziad who recently was honoured with a wonderful government award , and I have acknowledge that people  like Ziad will continue to achieve not only for the Muslim community but also to the boarder community as well.

There is no doubt that is a time there is a challenge but I am again acknowledge the ICPA the organisation that is always met those challenges and help with those challenges in a very honourable way.

It is an organisation that continues to stripe for community harmony, continue to units these people but also make sure to bring these people skill these people and build wonderful link with the boarder community.

It is so pleasing to see so many of you here today enjoying Eid festival, so Eid Mubarak to all of you, I extend my best wishes and blessing to all of you and I hope you to continue enjoy the activity.Thank you.

Paul Lynch MP for Liverpool:

It is a pleasure once again to be invited by the ICPA to share the festival of Eidul Fitr, I have been coming for a number of years to this event, and I always would like to be here, and like the others said it is a significant event. Eid Mubarak.

 Barbara Perry MP for Auburn:

I agree totally with Paul that Ramadan and Eid has become naturally part of the Australian land scale, but why has that happened, it take a very long has time but it happened because you have broken down the barriers, each one of you had a role in braking down the barriers, and the fact that you have Eid celebration here in the Park, in Paul Keating today out of the open, out to the rest of the community to be part of , I thing a wonderful way to continue braking down the barriers.

I would like to thank the ICPA and Darulfatwa, the organisations primarily responsible for today for their leadership in your community and your important contribution as a community in NSW of Australia.

Carl Asfour Mayor of Bankstown :

As a Mayor of this city it is a great privilege and honoured to have a festivals like this been held in the heart of Bankstown in Paul Keating Park.

I think it is really important that after such a month we have many members in our diverse community, and we have many nationalities that call Bankstown home as we have twenty six thousand people that share the Islamic faith her in Bankstown and they certainly made a huge contributions and Bankstown wouldn’t be the place it is today without the contribution of the Muslim community.

Can I just say it is a wonderful occasion, the celebration of Eid and it is a time around the world that celebrated and it’s now a natural celebration here in Bankstown and across the country.

Can I also acknowledge the wonderful work the ICPA is doing not only in Bankstown but across western and wider Sydney, and thank them for the invitation and for hosting the celebration here today.
